Stephen Cohen, a former New York City shop-teacher, takes us around his well-equipped shop and tells us how to acquire some great machines at bargain prices. Noted 18th-century furniture expert Allan Breed explains what goes into a million dollar side table in this first of two parts on the construction of a famous Newport masterpiece. We also take a look at frame-and-paneling as it was used in a piece originally made in the 15th century. And lastly, we visit the Lie-Nielsen factory in Maine, and get the inside scoop from Thomas Lie-Nielsen himself plus a rare tour of his Maine factory.
