When President Thomas Jefferson's personal library moved to Washington D.C. to become the beginnings of our Library of Congress, they were crated up in the clever bookcases that had housed them. Though none of the original bookcases survive, we've recreated what they could have been using writings and knowledge of the joinery at that time. These bookcases are individual shelf units that can be stacked and re-stacked to suit your needs.
