Exercises in Woodworking Exercise 7: Use of the Rip Saw: Rip teeth are the simplest teeth of all the saws. The cutting face of the tooth is filed straight across and the front of the tooth is typically straight up at 90°. In this video, you'll learn how changing the tooth geometry affects the cut, then learn how to properly use a rip saw.
